Group Term Life (GTL)

How to Apply

Aviva's Group Term Life Insurance plan makes important basic coverage affordable for businesses of all shapes and sizes. The plan gives you the flexibility of tying specific sums to be assured to employee salary or other fixed amounts. The policy is nearly exclusion free, with no medical underwriting required (depending on the assured sum amount). For easier administration, employees can also choose a flat sum assured with no underwriting requirements.

The plan also pays upon diagnosis of an illness that will most likely lead to death within 12 months of diagnosis. Additionally, employees terminated for medical reasons can continue their coverage for up to 12 months following the termination.

Designed as a rider to the Group Term Life Insurance plan, our Group LivingCare coverage helps employees manage the expenses and loss of income due to a major illness. The cover is paid as either a percentage of the General Term Life benefit or as an amount beyond that assured sum.

How to Apply

Aviva's Group Personal Accident Insurance rider extends Group Life Term cover to protect employees against death or disablement due to accident. The protection is global, covering employees where ever they go, 24 hours a day. The exact benefit paid depends on the nature of the industry, up to a maximum of 150% of the sum assured. All of this extra coverage pays beyond any benefits paid by Workmen's Compensation.

This plan covers costs for everything from primary care to hospitalisation benefits, with dental, maternity and major medical coverage available as optional riders.

  • Ancillary centres providing diagnostic x-ray and laboratory services

SAF Group Term Life Insurance

Aviva believes in helping to protect those that protect us. We demonstrate this commitment by offering special SAF Insurance plans that allow you to supplement your existing coverage and benefits. Our SAF Group Term Life Insurance policy is designed for SAF and MINDEF personnel as well as those who have committed to national service.

For as little as $2.52 a day, you can be assured up to $600,000! If you are married, your spouse and children can enjoy this scheme at an even lesser amount of $1.97 a day only! This small amount covers you the following:

a. Life Insurance Coverage

Death due to illness S$600,000
Total & Permanent Disablement1 due to illness S$720,000
Advance payment of 50% of sum assured (limited to $100,000) in the event that an insured person is diagnosed with a terminal disease and is medically certified that he will pass away within the next 12 months from the date of diagnosis. The balance of the sum assured will be paid to the proper claimant as Death Benefit.
